Shift Your Metabolism
I know you read that to yourself but go ahead and read those words out loud and let them sink in… Shift. Your. Metabolism.
Those are 3 simple words that I’ve been trying to figure out how to do for myself and my clients for the last couple years. Fact: I’m getting older (45 yrs old) and my metabolism is suffering the consequences of age. I may be a new grandma but I’m not gonna settle for getting fluffy just because I’m getting older.
Maybe you have been doing the same thing and beating your head against the wall and most likely, you’re in a battle that you’ve waged against your body time and time again only to lose a few pounds and then pack them back on again quicker than you lost them in the first place.
It’s been a while since my last post and I’ve learned SO MUCH since then! Did you know that we can truly become the masters of our metabolism with some simple SHIFTS in our diet and gain control over whether our bodies are sugar burners or fat burners!?! <—– That last part right there is the KEY my friends but I’ll get back to that in a minute.
If you’ve been following me over the years you know I’ve been on a health and fitness journey since about 2010. I’ve had my ups and downs like most people I know. I don’t love to workout but I do like the way I feel when the workout is over.
I have made tons of little shifts in my diet over the last few years too like giving up horribly unhealthy foods and replacing them with healthier options. No more Oreo cookies and Little Debbie snack cakes for me and I never drink sodas anymore.
Those were big steps in my journey but I didn’t give up all my bad habits and some things I “thought” I was making better choices with, turns out I was just duped by the product makers into “believing” I was making better choices. Take good old fashioned Quaker Oats for instance. Eating those for breakfast was doing NOTHING for my metabolism and only helping me to start my day as a sugar burner rather than a fat burner.
I’ve got TONS of information to share with you in the coming weeks with some projects I’m SUPER EXCITED to roll out for you very soon.

I have been on a keto adapted journey and it has been LIFE CHANGING! I absolutely can’t wait to tell you everything I’ve learned.
When you join me in this journey your days will start with nitrate free bacon or sausage, range free eggs and some full fat coffee that will turn your body into a fat burner faster than you imagine!
And a warning: Whatever you’ve heard about exogenous ketones ( I talked about them in my last blog post and had high hopes for them myself) you can chuck in the garbage. They definitely aren’t needed and taking them will more than likely just be a crutch you think you can lean on to continue your sugar burner lifestyle.
Trust me, I tried them and not only did I gain a ton of excess water weight but I also had to take extra electrolytes to keep my system balanced when taking them! Not only that but, it was just too easy to say yes to my Dominoes Pizza addiction knowing I had exogenous ketones in my pocket to back me up on my bad habit. Needless to say, I got no results unless you count the number on the scale going up as a result. :/
What I found that helped me and thousands of others before me to STICK to a keto adapted lifestyle is INFORMATION backed by SCIENCE that helps us make EDUCATED decisions with every bite we take.
