Confession time!!! Something you may not know about me is that I DON’T LIKE VEGETABLES, especially the ones in this picture! YUCK!!!! I know you are shocked but seriously, ask my Mom, my hubby and even my kids and they will tell you the truth. I don’t know why I don’t like them, I actually WISH that I did because I KNOW they are so good for me but the truth is, I just can’t stand them. It’s a texture thing for some and a taste thing for others but one thing I AM glad for is Shakeology.
Before I found Shakeology I could never force myself to eat enough vegetables. No matter how hard I tried it just wasn’t going to happen. You could say it was will power or whatever you want, but the truth is I just don’t like them. I know the whole “food is fuel” mantra, and I know it is true. That still doesn’t change the fact that over time, it is difficult to continually do things that you don’t enjoy. Some times we have to find compromises to stay on track. That is what Shakeology offers to me. Between the convenience and the taste, I can get the vitamins and minerals I need without having to hold my nose.
Did you know that drinking ONE GLASS of Shakeology is the equivalent of FIVE trips to the salad bar???!!! CRAZY BUT TRUE!!!! And even crazier is that since I started drinking Shakeology more than 2 years ago, I actually do CRAVE a FEW veggies now!!! I have come to LOVE broccoli, fresh spinach, asparagus, zucchini, carrots and sweet potatoes!!!! Now I am still a LONG WAY from liking onions, peppers of any kind or even tomatoes but at least I know that I am getting all the nutrients and super foods I need in my one glass a day of Shakeology.
